Annotate any webpage — pen, highlighter, text, blackout boxes, screenshots. It runs in your browser, on whatever laptop the school already gave you. Nothing student-related ever leaves your device.
Drag the button below onto your browser's bookmarks bar. Then click it on any page to start annotating.
🎓 Annotate PageA floating toolbar appears on the left. Schoology, Google Slides, a PDF, a news article — all the same.
When you are done, the 📷 camera button saves a PNG with your annotations on it.
🖱️ Mouse tool: hands the page back to you — scroll, click links, open and enlarge images — while your annotations stay on screen. Switch back to the pen with P.
A typical lesson loop: annotate → M (mouse) → scroll or click → P (pen) → annotate → clear when the next example starts. Space hides everything for a clean look.
Annotations are a layer over the page, so they follow you when you scroll and stay put across scroll, mouse, and hide/show. Enlarging an image (Notion, Google Slides, and similar) keeps the layer on top of it.
These keys work in editors that grab the keyboard too. Google Slides, Docs and friends swallow shortcuts before most tools see them, and their slide surface is one big text box — the annotator listens earlier than any of them, so P, S, B and the rest still work there. The flip side: while a drawing tool is selected the tool keys are the annotator's, so to type into the page itself pick the Mouse tool (M) or hide the annotator (V) first — then every key belongs to the page again.
Fast keys: V show/hide · Z Z undo · C C clear · X X save a PNG · Space show/hide.
Two erasers. 🧽 E is the object eraser: touch a stroke and the whole thing goes — draw a circle, erase part of the line, the circle disappears. 🧹 E E is the fine eraser, which rubs out only the path it crosses.
Move and resize anything: with the S select tool, click a shape to select it, drag to move it, or drag a handle — the eight small squares around it. A corner keeps the shape, an edge stretches one way. Resizing is undoable, and drawing tools always draw, so you can scribble right over earlier work.
Recolour something after you drew it: select it, then press 1–6 (or click a swatch). Undo takes it back. With nothing selected the numbers just set the colour for what you draw next.
Size: ] bigger · [ smaller · or roll the mouse wheel while a drawing tool is selected. In mouse mode or with select/text the wheel scrolls the page as usual, and Ctrl+wheel always resizes.
Only real double taps fire: a single C, X, Z or E is left to the page, and none of these work while you are typing in a note. Every destructive action is undoable — Z Z takes back the last stroke, brings back an erased object, or restores a canvas you cleared with C C.
All keys: V show/hide · Z Z undo · C C clear · X X save PNG · E object eraser · E E fine eraser · ] and [ size · M mouse · P pen · S select · T text · K blackout · H highlighter · B box · 1–6 colour · Space show/hide · Ctrl+Z undo · Delete removes the selection.
